A hearty congratulations to Khumukcham Geeta Devi on receiving her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Manipuri from Manipur University for the thesis, “Kakching Khunou gi Folk Song Neinaba.” She conducted her research under the supervision of Prof. S. Sanatombi Devi, Dept. of Manipuri, Manipur University. Geeta is the daughter of Khumukcham Kunjo Singh and Kh (O) Subadani Devi of Kakching Khunou Thingnam Bokul Leikai and the wife of Kharibam Bobosana Singh of Kakwa Ningom Thong Bazar.
She has presented papers at national seminars and published articles in reputable journals during her research period. In 2014, she also cleared the UGC NET and JRF.
