Congratulations to Shri Thingnam Gopalsana Singh S/O Thingnam Joy Singh and Mayanglambam Binashakhi Devi of Kakching Khunou Ngaikhong Leikai on being selected as an Assistant Commandant in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) through the CAPF EXAMINATION, 2020 held by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC). He was ranked 101 out of 187 recommend candidates.
Assistant commandants in the CAPF (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB) are equivalent to the ranks of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Captain in the Indian Army, and are group-A gazetted officers.
Gopalsana attended KBM English School, Kakching Khunou until Class VII, then matriculated at Little Master English Hr. Secondary School in Samurou and finished higher secondary education from Millennium Institute of Sciences in Imphal. He is also a recipient of the INSPIRE SCHOLARSHIP sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, and the DR.B R AMBEDKAR NATIONAL MERIT AWARD 2010 under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India.
Later, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Hindu College, University of Delhi, as well as a master’s degree in Chemistry from the same university. He recently took the CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAMINATION, 2021 and is awaiting the results.
