Our sincere congratulations go out to Khumukcham Rajukumar Singh, S/O Khumukcham Maipak Singh, and Khumukcham (O) Kshetrimayum Gandhamala Devi, of Kakching Khunou Awang Ningthou Leikai, now living at Brahmapur Nahabam Bamon Leikai, Imphal, on receiving his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Environmental Science from Manipur University (MU) Canchipur, Imphal for his thesis entitled ‘Assessment of Indoor Air Quality in Schools in Imphal City, Manipur’. The research work was done under the supervision of Dr. Khoiyangbam Raju Singh, HoD, Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, Manipur University.
Raju matriculated from the Kakching Khunou Govt. High School and completed his class XII studies at the DM College of Science in Imphal. Later, he attended Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar, Haryana, where he earned his M. Sc. (Env. Sc.) and M. Tech. (Env. Sc. & Engg.) degrees. He has also cleared the UGC-NET and ICAR-NET in Environmental Science. During his research period, he published three research papers in National and International publications (UGC-CARE listed) and presented papers at various National and International conferences and seminars.
He is currently working as an Asst. Professor in the Department of Environmental Science at T. S. Paul Manipur Women’s College, Mongshangei, Imphal.
