With great joy, we congratulate our own star player, Thingnam Bidyasagar Singh, on being a member of the Services Football team that won this year’s Santosh Trophy Football Tournament in Arunachal Pradesh.
He is the son of Thingnam Rameshwor Singh and Thingnam (O) Shanta Devi of Kakching Khunou Thingnam High School Leikai.
In 2015, he was selected for the Army Boys U-13 Football Team in Jabalpur (M.P). He went on to represent the Army Boys Football Team in the U-17 Subroto Cup International Football Tournaments of 2016, 2017, and 2018. He also served as captain of the 2017 version, which finished second place. He joined the Indian Army as a football player in 2020 and competed for the Army Red football team in the Durand Cup 2023 in Kolkata. Later, he played for the Services Football Team (a combined Armed Forces team) at the National Games 2023 in Goa and this year’s Santosh Trophy Football Tournament in Arunachal Pradesh. They were the winners in both events.
