The Kakching Khunou Educational Forum is proud to extend its heartfelt congratulations to Shri Thingnam Premchandra Singh, S/O Shri Thingnam Bijoy Singh and Smti Thingnam Memcha Devi of Kakching Khunou Thingnam SEPA Leikai, on being awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physical Education from Panjab University, Chandigarh on 14th November 2025.
His thesis, titled “Effect of Uphill-Downhill, Plyometric, and Combined Training on Speed Abilities and Kinematics of High School Students,” was completed under the guidance of Prof. Thingnam Nandalal Singh, Department of Physical Education, Panjab University.
Premchandra began his educational journey at Kakching Khunou Govt. High School (Class III–V) and later continued at JNV Sandumba Achouba, Umathel up to Class X. He completed his Class XI and XII from JNV Bishnupur before obtaining his B.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from Panjab University. He further pursued his passion in the field of Physical Education, earning his B.P.Ed (First Class with Distinction) from Panjab University and M.P.Ed (First Class with Distinction) from the University of Delhi. He has also successfully qualified UGC-NET (NFSC) JRF & SRF. During the course of his research, he presented papers at numerous National and International Conferences, authored book chapters, and published more than 10 research papers in reputed International Journals.
In addition to his academic achievements, he is a certified D-Licence Coach under the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
He is currently serving as a Physical Education Teacher at Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Samalka, New Delhi, where he continues to inspire and nurture young learners.
