Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sandumba Achouba is a premier educational Institution at Kakching Khunou Umathel in Kakching District of Manipur. It is an autonomous co-educational residential school fully financed and administered by Government of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti and is affiliated to CBSE.
The Vidyalaya was set up in 1987 and became functional on the 10th of October of the same year. Until 1999, the Vidyalaya was functioning from its temporary campus at the DIET Complex at Kakching for twelve long years as the construction at the permanent campus was not ready.

Now it runs from its permanent campus atop a picturesque hillock on the western side of the Imphal-Sugnu Road at Umathel. Surrounded by lush green paddy fields on 3 sides, the campus spreads across 38 Acres of land.
It now houses more than 500 students (VI- XII), Teachers, staff and their families in the campus.
